Hokuto Musou Has An Original Story And Exploding Bodies
Koei USA shined some light about Hokuto Musou (Fist of the North Star Musou) and summarized the press conference.
You already know the game exists so we’ll skip over that. Hokuto Musou follows Kenshiro, the only master of the Hokuto Shinken, on his journey to find Yuria. Story mode follows the manga and Kenshiro’s path to Raoh . Another mode will have a brand new storyline, which Koei is keeping under wraps.
Hisashi Koinuma, the producer of Hokuto Musou and Samurai Warriors Katana, promises to keep the spirit of the series in the game. Naturally, that means ultra violence. In the game you can channel Kenshiro’s energy and unleash a blow that makes an enemy explode on screen. Kenshiro’s signature rapid punch attack is in the game too which crushes organs and causes instant death.
Hokuto Musou is scheduled to come out in Japan next year on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Concrete plans for an international release have not been announced, but since Koei USA sent us details it seems like they’re gearing up for one. Fist of the North Star Warriors?
