Forums - Nintendo - Would New Super Mario Bros Wii be better on Ds?

Completely disagree. Like some people said, Wii is a better platform and it would go better that way. Secondly, you need a larger screen to zoom out and fit all players on screen. That is certainly better on the Wii.

That's why.

Simulacrum is a Microsoft fanboy?

He's about as much of a Microsoft fanboy as CrazzyMan.

Let's see... New Super Mario Bros. is an offline 4-player coop platformer.

Can this be done on a Wii? Yes.

Can this be done on a DS? No.

So there's your answer.

Then you'd need 4 DS's to play it instead of 4 Wii remotes. Hell naw. And I want my 2-D Mario on my 56" TV.

2-D console Marios is why I started playing video games. I want them on consoles.

You guys get most of the good games on the DS from all developers, lets us have a few good games on the Wii!!

I find it hard to dismiss a game based around a common multi-player experience.

I also find it hard to accept this dismissal when the game has not yet been released.

Furthermore, is not the game already out for the DS - though not in multiplayer form like on the Wii (the multiplayer is just minigames).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

I've seen sim admit to being such a fanboy. If I'm wrong, point me to what sim is a fanboy of.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Seems someone is afraid that NSMBWii will outsell everything released this year and the next.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Given Mario Kart Wii has outsold both versions  of GTA IV combined (save for in the US), I can see how some would be afraid.
