I have beaten both Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask & if anyone should ask,I would say that he should play bith cuz they're different even though its exactly the same graphics,art style & button config.Each is very unique.Is the same true for the Pikmin games?Or should I buy just Pikmin 2?While I'm at it,I'm currently playing Mario galaxy and I have Mario sunshine but have only played the very 1st level.Should I bother playing sunshine anymore or should I ignore it bcuz of galaxy?Ur opinions please!

I think pikmin 2 is just a better version of one. At least it's what I've read.

But I'll let someone who's played 'em make a better judgment, hehe.

No idea about the Pikmin myself (killeryoshis should make an appearance here soon I would guess), but as far as Sunshine and Galaxy are concerned, I found them both very different experiences. Both very enjoyable. FLUDD is an interesting game mechanic.

If you can buy both of them... they are very good games... both are amazing IMHO... if you only can buy one, pick the 2nd one because is longer than the first...the Multiplayer is awesome.. Im hoping that Pikmin 3 came with Online multiplayer...

they are a little different.

the first pikmin had a more earry alone feeling to it, what with it's 30 day time limit and all.

the second one doesn't have that feeling, but it's instead it's hunting treasure for money with no time limit. the second one is also much longer, and has an added challenge mode (with 2 player co-op) and a 2 player player battle mode.

They are a bit different, yeah. But Pikmin 2 is mainly an improved version of 1. If you're gonna get both, start with Pikmin 1, 'cos if you play 2 first, the original's gonna disappoint, I think.

Also, YES! Play Sunshine. It's a marvelous game. Really great, I think Galaxy is better, but Sunshine is a very different game in and of itself. I love it, it's one of my favourite games of all time. Definitely play it.

Pikmin was a much shorter game that almost seemed like a demo where as Pikmin 2 was a lengthier more fully developed game...yeah both are good but I'd put my money on 2 as it improves on the original in every aspect and offers a lot more at the same time.

No matter which one you pick though, it's one of nintendo's better recent series so you should def check it out!!!

Killeryoshis will tell you to buy both and should be here any minute I reckon... I had the same thoughts as you, and I went straight to Pikmin 2, but I liked it so much that I think I will buy the original sometime in the near future.

I think you'll be fine if you want to go straight for 2 gameplay-wise. I had no trouble.

I have pikmin 1 on my Wii and really liked it. I will buy pikmin 2 when it releases as well.

If you play 1 first you might be dissappointed due to the time limit..... And not get 2 That's the risk of getting 1 first

you get 2 first you'll be dissapointed in 1...

So pick the risk you want to take...

Get both!
