After checking some numbers, yes. This is YTD in Japan. He definitely should have worded that better.

FF XIII will ensure PS3 takes the lead this year. Not bad, having a third place "failure" console outsell the market leader for a full year.

I don't think it is set in stone just yet.  NSMB, Wii Fit+, Tales of Graces and Crystal Bearers(won't be anywhere near as big as FFXIII, but will still push consoles) all should boost sales. Then there are already release games like Monster Hunter and Wii Sports Resort which should also boost sales. The Wii usually always gets a larger holiday boost in relation to regular sales anyway. So unless GT5 is announced for this year, it isn't so easy to make the statement you just did.  New Super Mario Bros Wii in Japan alone should outsell FFXIII in each region(not all.)

What i find more jilarious is the fact that Wii has outsold PS3 by almost 5 Million there.

Yet it is struggling to keep it's lead there this year from the failure console.
