I am definately getting HL3 or HL2 episode 3 when it releases on the XBOX 360

I wish I could help you...I beat HL2 twice, once on PC and once on Xbox360 and have not played the PS3 version.

One thing to keep in mind is that while PS3 version of Orange box did score lower than 360 one, its metacritic average is 89. Thats still pretty f'n amazing.

For the record, the COD4 campaign doesn't suck. I'm just saying it fell weakish, maybe because of the low runtime, maybe for osmehting else. It just felt underwhelming. I mean, the nuke for instane was a pretty cool I thought as well, and in retrosepct I can't believe I say it's weak, but I am still left with a weak feeling. Meanwhile HL2 left me with a very epic sorta feeling. I guess, in level 1 you see the Citadel, and you KNOW you will end up there and tear shit up, but never do you expect what happens, you know? Also keep in mind CoD was a PC franchise. Though it's one of the franchises I'd say went downhill when it went to consoles (liek deus ex, thief, etc.).

Also I'm looking forward to bayonetta, that has some SERIOUS style.

P.S. CoD started going down since CoD 3.

Again, not meaning to argue with you...but read what I've said again, and make sure that's true....all of it. I'm not sure I've kept up a consistant front on which game I consider all out "better" and I've been hesitant to give my opinion there, though I meant to hint around it vaguely. Here's my opinion, just to clear it up for you: I think HL2 is a better game because it's longer. I think that if CoD4 had kept up the same level of quality for 20 hours, instead of 5, it would be the better game single player game. That's what I've meant to convey from the start. I think ToB is a better game than both of them, and one of the best games this generation.

Now, sure, it might be the coolest thing on the web to play "gotcha" games with misstatements, or even misspellings from earlier posts, and to attempt to invalidate my opinion because you presumed I misrepresented it earlier, but my opinion is and always has been what I've stated. I don't play "gotcha" and if I beat you in a debate, it's going to be on the lack of merit in your argument, and not an error in your communication.

If I feel like changing my opinion, which I don't, I'll let you know, and you won't have to act like you've figured something out. Save the analysis for CSI Miami, btw. If you want to debate me, do it. Get over the childish stuff, it's a crutch. Might as well resort to posting screenshots, if we're gonna sink that low. :P

Oh, wait....I see. You read the first sentence in your post, and then read the phrase "I disagree" in mine, and thought the two were related.

What I disagree with you on, was your CoD hate, not that HL2 is the best FPS.

That said, HL2 is nowhere near the best FPS. HL1 was much better, and so was Deus Ex, if you really want to get technical. HL2 is just prettier. Anyway, I went back and read the post you were referring to, and thought you might have did what I did. Read the first sentences in each post and draw conclusions.
