Well, all the pepole who don't realize that what we talk about isn't the score, but about the bias, just proves which of as is the real fanboy, with selective reading, and which of us, well... just look on reality as it is :)

Sick. First game wasnt 90 on metacritic. U2 looks awesome and most certainly is the game the fans want.

Thats because,  wait what?  WHO CARES? 

Do honestly most of you sit in front of your PS3's playing this game, then suddenly you relise you dont enjoy it because it didnt score as high as another game or as high as you expected from reviewers?  Does this knowledge that some pasty nerd who couldnt get a job as a real journalist is now living on reporting VIDEO GAMES as a job, so his oppion on said game suddenly determines it quality?

But most importantly why are people still complaining about a game getting 9 OUT OF FUCKING 10?  Ten being the highest and 1 being the lowest shouldnt a 9 be like ""Wow this game must be something special.  I mean it was one off from a perfect score.""  But no, that would to simple and avoid pointless dick waving.  It couldnt be ""Hey at least *insert  system* owners got a good game."" its ""HA HA LOL TAKE THAT GAYSTATION/XFAG/WIIGAY FANS!  OUR GAME IS 0.2 BETTER THAN YOURS!""

No, there both nine.  Nobody else cares except nerds.  Because who else in there right mind would complain about a high score especially to a game there anticipating to buy?

The fuck have we as gamers, collectively, gotten into? I don't care if your a PS3 fan deeming this score to low or a nin/xbox fan defending this score, this stuff just isn't worth the effort!

First of all, this is ONE score on ONE site! It will not affect your precious metacritic score in the slightest!
Secondly, it's a fucking 9.3! Go to the movies section of metacritic and see that such stellar movies as Up! and District nine get an 88 and 80 respectfully. Mind you, Up! is already on the short list for being an Oscar-contender. Like some have said, this just shows how backwater ascinine the gaming community can be.

Give it a break, let it pass and for the love of god stop discussing grades unless there is something fundamentally wrong (on Kane&Lynch style levels).

9.3 is a great score, no one can deny that. But I dont think that is what Leo-j was talking about. He is simply pointing out the GT rating system is a tiny bit inconsistent. The fact that a highly anticipated PS3 exclusive is the center of it, seems to make it worse. Personally, I agree with Leo-j. He isnt whining about it not getting a perfect score. So some of you guys really need to get over that and stop bringing it up.

I dont think GT is biased at all, but they should stick to the standards they set for their rating system.

I can't even fathom how this thread managed to get this far, or why GT felt the need to explain their score to begin with.

9.3 is a score that most game developers would kill for, so to the people saying "It's not fair to the developers!", just be quiet. 9.3 is an extraordinary, spectacular score.

And also, everyone keeps saying that "Omg you guys can't read it's not the score that's the problem!!". Oh, I'm so sorry, let me pinpoint what everyone is calling the real problem - Uncharted 2 getting a 9.3 isn't the problem, the problem is that Gears of War 2, Halo 3 and GTA4 got better scores. Oh no! I mean, it's impossible to enjoy something if one person in the world believes that something else is superior!

Now Naughty Dog will go out of business and nobody will buy Uncharted 2, because one individual believes that three other games are better.

Seriously, let this thread die because this is by far (very far) the most pathetic and worthless thread I've seen on VGChartz. (No offense to the TC, I'm talking about how the thread has developed and the subject itself, not to leo-j who created it).

I'm all for adding points for originality but unless a game is derivitive to the point where it's a chore to play (Pokemon, for example) then I don't think the score should be affected. There's nothing wrong with 9.3 but the justification is bull. Just watch them give Modern Warfare 2 a higher score next month.

You will understand how the thread got this far if you will actually bother reading, and understanding, what this thread is about, and forget the mantra of "oh lol PS3 fanboys cry because their game got a low score".
