Your entiled to your opinion my friend, but if you check the charts, you will notice that not one GT game has sold less than 10 million.  The GT series is exclusive to Sony so if you want to play it you only have one choice and that is a Sony system.  Now GTportable is harder to figure because well it just released and remember GT games are known for having 'wonderful' legs-so I would guess that maybe it will be the  only full game that will not sell 10 million.  But GT5 is going to do 10 million in my opinion.

Plus piracy isn't the only factor to take into consideration. DD sales also. When PD release figures themselves, THEN we will know the real opening week.

Red- GT games have legs, really good legs. Include the DD sales and it could surpass VC Stories and come close to LC Stories.

As for GT5, as i mentioned before...  PSP games don't sell like console games.  That is why GTA on PSP only sold 3.5/5.6 Million, compared to on PS2 where the games sold 10M +

And the matter is that GTA is > than GT as a franchise. So don't expect GT5 to do 1.5-2 times the sales of GTAIV PS3.

Carl, you didnt explain me why people doesnt use the piracy to explain DS numbers while some people like you use this ''logic'' for the PSP.

Because it requires hardware to pirate the DS games and it doesn't need crap to do the same on the PSP?

DS piracy probably isn't half as bad as the PSP.

 

GTPSP probably has more than half a million illegal downloads by now.

lol like if I care about the ''respect'' of some unknown internet user like yourself. GTAIV PS3 is very far away of the 10 million mark so what make you think GT5 will do better?

So there is an extra insentive to buy it on the much cheaper 360... Which also has extra content and a massive lead in GTA main territory, NA.

If the game was timed exclusive/exclusive it would be at ~8 Million/10 Million by now.

Where did you find those numbers? If you want to back up your agument please use real numbers and/or past trends rather than throwing numbers from your imagination.

Good point, I do not see where this guy gets his data from.......oh yeah from his AZZ probably.  Hell I would go one more further, I did not buy GTA 4 this gen because of the multi-platform status(too many compromises and not enough next gen features)-I wonder how many other people who were like me and opted to buy other exclusive games instead of GTA4?

Just go take a look at the Worldwide Total Sales chart... you will suddenly understand a lot of things.

How in the world would a person who cares nothing about anything Sony be able to track what games are more pirated on the psp vs. DS?  Your data is "suspect" because it's validity is based off of 'negativity' and plenty of spin, why oh why do you not find a nice nintendo thread or better yet a 360 thread to troll.  Oh! The same question is for Carl2291. What is the proof of PSP being "The most heavily pirated platform"?

I don't care how well or bad GT PSP does but I'm tired seeing people keep saying PSP is more pirated than DS without real numbers.
