I wonder what caused september Wii and 360 numbers to be off that much - for august vgchartz seems to have underestimated the effect of the price drop of the phat PS3 in Germany
Germany is not a small market ofourse US is the big Fish in the Tank but Europe is not far behind I would say both on the same Level. And Germany is the second biggest market for Video Games in Europe. So it is the fifth biggest market in the World. A lot of Americans forget how many countries in Europe exists. So there are some other markets like France,Spain,Italy,Netherlands,Sweden,Finland,Poland,Denmark,Belgium, Czech republic, Austria, Switzerland,Portugal,Norway,Hungary, and then the other world wide markets like Australia, South Africa, Israel, Korea, China, Russia and a lot more.
I wouldnt count germany as a small market. Its a market which its heavy advertised and important. And infact Sony did NOTHING for the PS3 in Terms of Advertising I mean Nothing I can remember 2 TV adds in PS3 life that was Little Big Planet and Uncharted. I was even surprised that PS3 is on Number one I always thought it was on number three until now. that it managed to outsell Wii in August was more surprising to me than September. Sony did not much in Advertising fo Germany. Less then the other two Competitors (I speak just for the home consoles because there are a lot of PSP ads everywhere)
my thread just got locked... :/
i was asking for some adjustmens because the 3 consoles are much off
@Electronic rocker
your thread was a duplicate thread
| bluthunder said: Saw this posted on PS3 Forums: According to GfK Media Control these are the console sales numbers for Germany for the last two months:
September 2009: PS3: 88,000 Wii: 31,200 360: 16,300 August 2009: PS3: 36,000 Wii: 35,000 360: 13,200 Link (in German) Google Translate (English) I don't speak German, so if I've made any mistakes, please correct. |
Price drop will do that. You see that even the XBox 360 increased as well.

so are they needed

@superbeast1370
Lol sorry but thats just rediculous. In every German Forum that would be a Lifetime Ban. What are you trying to say I am a Nazi ? Or what. Infact my Grandparents fought against Germany and my Grand Father is a War Hero which was with the british in North Africa. My Mom is from Czech and my Dad is from Cyprus.
And 99% of the Germans are no Nazis. So I am accepted even if I am not blonde and have no blue eyes.
they are needed since sony reported 24 million ps3s sold just before the pricecut and vgchartz still had the ps3 at 23 million
they are needed since npd last month had 50k more for ps3 and they are needed now, perhaps in EVERY european county
