Forums - Sales - So PSP GO! sold 80K Units (EU + NA)...Flop or HOT?!

flop.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Neither a flop nor success. It brought in a lot of money, that's for sure.

Better than expected, its definitely not a flop.
Even then some people just want it to be a flop.

That is the main problem.

Even with Sony saying it is in line with expectations, people just feel the need to hate on it.

And some people want to call it a success no matter what...

Your point?

I think the term "in line with expectations" gives the game away... they arent exactly bragging are they.

My opinion... it will be a flop. (except in Japan)

true true

SONY said the PS3 slim has surpassed expectations, they didn't say this with the PSP GO!

that should give people big signals.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

To me there are two groups in thi sdiscussion.

I belong to the group that understands its simply a new SKU. Thus PSP-3000 still on the shelves and UMD games being released on all new titles along side DD. Just an SKU.

Then th eother group that want to make the PSP Go its own console and compare it to other consoles, somehow including the PSP, which confuses me much.

The PSP Go did just fine as a new SKU, in fact it did very well as a new SKU, the PSP in general is struggling obviously, so for it to sell 80k compared to overal PSP sales i think its been pretty successful given the state of PSP hardware.
