Likely not, the series just isn't for me.

I tried the first and didn't like it (hated the level design), bought the second for really cheap years ago and I still haven't opened it.

Definitely buying...I love God of War.  Kratos is a badass.  I'm also buying the God of War collection for the updated visuals and especially the trophies.

PSN ID: Sorrow880

Gamertag: Sorrow80

i have the GoW 1/2 pack on pre-order and will definitely get GoW3 as well. it was one of the franchises i was jealous of back when i only had a game cube.

hell yeah, I'm even gonna double dip and buy the god of war collection, HD + trophies = awesome

Day one purchase for me, huge fan of the Console versions, dont have a PSP so i cant comment on Chain of Olympus, the end of the second game made me super hyped to play the third.
The Bluray collection is the best thing Sony did since the age of dinosaurs :), day one for me too :)

Currently Playing: Final Fantasy XIII (PS3), White Knight Chronicles (PS3), PES 2010 (PS3), Killzone 2 (PS3)

Games to Finish: Silent hill Homecoming (PS3), Valkyria Chronicles (PS3), Oblivion (PS3)

That was weird. I saw this from the front page, so I saw Twesterm's avatar first, and that was weird, because he doesn't even like God of War III. Then, I saw it was you.

Anyway, I'm buying it. I'll get the Collector's Edition, if there is one.

You hated the level design? You don't like large rooms followed by narrow corridors?

*thinks back to level design in Ghostbusters demo*

Er...

Er...

I didn't work on the library

And it wasn't so much the layout I hated, it was their puzzles and just moving about the space sucked for me.  I remember the point at which I quit the game was when I was supposed to swing on a rope across a pit near the beginning of the game.

Unfortunately I had a standard TV (24-ish inches) at the time and just could not see the rope so I got to that little pit, ran around and in it, couldn't get past it, so I started backtracking.  An hour or so later I still hadn't found my way until I finally looked at a FAQ to see that I missed a rope that just could not be seen on my TV unless you were looking for it so I quit the game.

That wasn't the only thing that bothered me, that was just the one that made me quit the game and never come back.

Good, because it was really quite awful.

I do remember the pit with the rope. And I had a 26 inch SDTV back then, so not much bigger. The rope was clearly visible.

Honestly, Twesterm, you shouldn't miss out on a great game after playing for 20 minutes because you're too blind to see a rope, and then not open its sequel.

Go put your pants on and finish it!
