Price cut for the PSP as well. |
It was a small one.
$200 --> $169
Japan is catching to American prices.

PSP is doing good
but I don't think people there are waiting for the GO!

It's really hard to predict that one. What kind of figures do you expect from Japanese Go launch?
@star Scream
maybe it can do 45K, I dunno
the GO's impact here is minimal.....but japanese like re-designs
I can's say
definetely not a PS3 Slim level impact though!
Well, if we go by Famitsu sales, Ps3 had a 25% drop this week, indicating it has yet to stabilize. I want to see where both systems stabilize.
Darth: It's really hard to predict Go sales, PSP-3000 wasn't much of a re-design and yet it sold ~150,000 first week. This one is definitely a wild card, I really can't make a prediction.

I don't think it's as simple as that. Just as PS3 Slim sales ate into Wii sales in early September, it's likely that Wii sales are now biting back into Slim sales. If the Wii hadn't dropped in price, I bet the PS3 would've sold over 40k again.
Currently playing: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, NBA2k11, Metal Gear Solid, Picross 3d
