deathbleachnarutodbz,  Nintendo has Wii fit, Wii sport, Wii kart as the main reason to own the console, PS3 has KZ2, MGS4, LBP, Uncharted2 and R&C2 in a while, then GT5, God of War3, Heavy Rain, FFXIII and Versus, FFXIV, and so many other games. 360 has Gears2, Forza3 in a while, Left for dead2, Gears3 will come.

How can you only think to write something so confusing.   Sony and MS are the ones who provided a real next gen console, with advanced games, superior graphics, more contents.  Nintendo is the one thinking about money, only money, forgetting about the hardcore audience, graphics and sound, tech innovation.

Most of Wii games could run on a PS2 !  now, I'm not saying that Wii games are bed, but just don't come here saying Nintendo are thinking about Videogames and Sony or MS not.  

IMO, Nintendo made a smart move changing direction and focusing for the majority on casual gamers and "non gamers" who see Wii like a "light fitness machine" / "education machine".  This was the way to move big numbers, slapping the face of most hardcore gamers!

Are you happy with Wii game experience ?  me not, I didn't buy Wii though I was a hot Nintendo fan.  I loved Nintendo64 and GC, but I'm not taking this last gen console with graphics inferior to the best PS2 and XBox1 games,together with basic and simple game-play. 

Sony game experience ? just a word, Uncharted2

Funny because seeing what really works on the Wii I thought Nintendo was actually in the Fitness business now...



PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

@dharh: We did see HDD and online multiplayer last gen. Also Wii has onboard memory and plays multiplayer online.

But what's really important, is that Wiis innovation isn't just the hardware, but the software.

And, of course you don't have to like something because someone tells you to. It's just that not finding anything you'd like to play in two years is pretty bold claim, while by "expanding the wrong way" you're yourself telling other people what they should and shouldn't like.

How is that shrinking?

I like VGC like no other, but the guys here are like a pack of hungry lions just waiting for something to jump onto.

Further proof includes Microsoft and Sony creating motion control/buyer innovations that Nintendo helped in creating. The problem with this is that the disruptor (Nintendo) redefining the industry standard with its buyer innovations first make more profit than those that follows for various reasons.

Why would Sony and Microsoft have to include other areas of entertainment if they thought the video game industry had more potential than where they are at?

Proof of what ? Sony already delivered a superior graphics/sound experience, with heavy physics and advanced animations,more complex game-play, more contents thanks to the Cell/RSX combined with a Bluray and a built-in HD in every console.  This is innovation, this is called innovation.

Plus we can watch Bluray Movies, we have PSN, we will have Home, motion control, Stereoscopic 3D Gameplay--->http://www.split-screen.com/2009/10/...lay-uncovered/ , and all the fantastic, unique 2009 and 2010 PS3 line-up !  Isn't it innovation ??   That guy gave me a good laugh.

Fair enough, our data only goes as far back as the PS2.

HDD and online last gen was super week. XBOX was IMO a total failure of a console that only has as a bright spot a few exceptional games on an otherwise dismal platform. Only this gen has the HDD and online gaming truly started to work.

But like, thats just my opinion man. I don't want to claim other people should or shouldn't like the Wii. I think the Wii is expanding the wrong way because for the first time since I started playing on Nintendo consoles I truly do not like where Nintendo is going. They are leaving me behind. So yeah they are adding 100 people and losing 1. I honestly think they could do something different and not lose the one.
