They were brutal to those who resisted them... but when it came to those they conquered and those who worked with them... they were actually a lot better then most empires.

For example they were religiously tollerant.

I don't have a problem with people not liking the appearance of SD graphics so much, but Crystal Bearers the top of Wii graphics? I could name a dozen that look better without much effort...

Compare this to the developer comments about Monster Hunter 3. They said it was mainly about adjusting that gets Wii games to look good, even if you can't do as much.

In other words, they relied on talent over throwing money at the graphics.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Fully granted, especially as regarding those that went into the Middle East.

But they still conquered civilazations just for the heck of it, and slaughtered any who didn't bow down and give them anything they want.

They're Bad Guys, even if they don't reach the level of Nazis.

And it really does sound like the Lillties are modelled after them, doesn't it?

They didn't conquer civilizations for the heck of it...

either way though.  My point is basically they are actually better then a lot of "warrior cultures" that are reverred. 

Like the Romans for example.

The graphics are the best when compared to similar genre's like other RPGs and Action Adventures(Metroid Prime 3 looks better, but the world isn't as big.) So yeah it pretty much is the high end of the spectrum if you make a comparison with games of similar scale.
