I know it's fashionable to enter these threads and downplay the speaker by saying "who?", but in this case, I honestly mean it: I have never heard of this guy, and I have only the most passing knowledge of his company. Does his word carry any weight? Serious question, folks.

Normally I would assume that it carries weight, but I've never even heard of the game he's producing and I don't know if that says more about the game or just my awareness.

The "autumny" is very impressive. I can't wait to play that area in the game. :)



You guys don't get it.

He's not talking about the graphical capabilities of the Wii, he's talking about HDTV scaling artifacts. Most HDTV's does a piss poor job of displaying SD signals.

Of course it doesn't exactly help that Nintendo tend to equip most of their demo units with crappy composite video cables...

That is a very reasonable thing to point out.

I suppose it explains why he suggests Nintendo should "give the TV industry money to handle SD", but it doesn't make the statement less insane.

We're in the same boat then. I vaguely recall the company, but I emphasize vaguely, and I'm usually up on titles for all systems.
