To answer someone else's question, no, this did not require a new thread.

HOWEVER.......for the first time ever in history, I agree with the OP. When they announced the $299 Slim, I felt a strong urge to pre-order one. The gaming gods WANTED me to have one. When I got from Amazon, I had serious buyer's remorse......for about a day.

After that, I have been nothing but glad that I got a PS3. I still play my 360 too, mostly Lost Odyssey right now, but I had an absolute blast with Uncharted, Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm, Infamous, etc. (I do hate Metal Gear Solid 4 just as I suspected I would.) I am also having a blast re-watching my favorite movies on BluRay. The Netflix account that I started because of Xbox 360 is now being used mostly for BluRay viewing.

I have spoken ill of the PS3 in the past.....but that was before I had one. The price drop changed my whole attitude about it.
