MJ and Madonna earned thier fame the old fashioned way(no not a fan of either really,not my type of music)..with talent and a hell of alot of hard work,not the manufactured crap kids listen to today.

@ OP - Whilst it is good to consider all possibilities, this one is a bit of a stretch

1) People have played it, and liked it. Several of those people post on VGChartz

2) Shigeru Miyamoto is the designer, Ninty EAD are the developers.

@ davidd_err18 - welcome to VGChartz, it's always good to have fans of old school mario. But why must 2d mario be developed INSTEAD of other mario games? They are for the most part made by different people. EAD 4 makes 2d platformers, EAD5 makes 3d platformers, EAD1 to make mario Kart, Hudson make mario Party, Camelot for the mario sports games

When I was working at Nintendo for a while, I managed to be lucky enough to play the demo of the game and i can feel very confident that the actual game has absolutely no chance of sucking. The demo itself was way too fun whether one is trying to race in a level, semi-cooperate, and/or be somewhat competitive when trying to get from point a to b (like throwing a person intentionally down a hole after grabbing them). I can't wait to get this game too after i had an amazingly good time with the demo.
