Now for the more obvious flaws:
- fewer features than previous PSPs, but at a crazy high price (250 EUR in Europe, that's 365 USD)
What fewer features???

fewer features like not being able to play the UMDs we bought, or use duo sticks to expand memory, and needing to buy a retarded dongle for any addons

- DRM'd games are sold for up to 40 USD online
Games are sold for up to 40 USD at retail... this makes no sense to me...

having to rebuy games and not have some sort of transfer or trade in policy by sony

- built-in battery that can't be replaced
Pandora battery. Blame users, not SONY for trying to protect their money.

I blame sony it was a design choice, but honestly i dont care about this one, i support built in batteries makes for cleaner design... but dont blame users

- smaller screen than previous PSPs
Also more crisp

eh wash in my mind both are true

- unergonomic, cramped controls (especially the L/R buttons)
Personal preference. I find the DSLite quite uncomfortable. Most people say it's fine.

I think unergonomic is a fiar complaint, but the psp has always tended to comfort in smaller hands, clears sony hates those of us with large hands

- old, outdated and error prone wireless protocol (802.11b)
The old models are better?

should have upgraded it to G or N, you dont get points by staying in the past

- downloads can't be resumed and take forever
And the old platforms are better?? You can redownload your stuff. Also use a pc or ps3 for the downloads.

this should be fixed thats a big freaking problem, we should not have to lean on pc/or home console for functionality

- PSP can't be used for anything else while downloading
The old models are better?

actually yea I can i had to open my first gen psp to check but i can do background downloading while watching a tv show, cool, didnt know i could do that

- proprietary plug instead of USB as in previous PSPs, need to buy special Sony cord

Buy??? IT FUCKIN COMES WITH IT!!!

goes back to the eliminating all peripherals you may have bought for the psp, need that freaking adapter to use them, but at least sony made the adapter, unlike what it did for umd

It is beyond me how this abomination managed to make it out into he wild (well, at least into those stores who don't boycott it for obvious reasons). It doesn't reflect well on a company to release a product like this. And if you buy a PSP Go at this point, it doesn't reflect well on your state of mind.

What am I supposed to say here??? Sorry we have different gaming preferences??? Sorry if the Go fits my needs and not yours??? Sorry if I like a product and you don't??

The majority of your complaints are a current psp owner upgrading or purchasing a Go, if you would stop and think about the psp-Go you would realize it is meant to appeal to new customers, appeal to the ipod/iphone users, appeal to the casual crowd, appeal to those who like the digital distruption.

Now after you take that into consideration then the psp-Go does its job.

Even if you don't own a PSP, the PSP 3000 would be a much better choice

It's the cheaper choice, but not necessarily the better choice. The PSP is smaller, more portable and it comes with 16 gigs of space. It can be used to listen to music and watch videos.

Ohh come on people, the PSPGo is doing one thing good...it's making more PSone and PSP games available for me to download on my PSP 2000 now.

I went outside once, the graphics were great but the gameplay sucked!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vertical_integration   general over view of a vertical business model.

sonys own form would be the sony connect, various forms of walkmen, and music phones. sony despite being a media giant has been unable as of yet to match apples success using a myraid of products, this is another attempt to copy the formula to beat apple out of its niche. I will say the current playstation store is the best incarnation of a media store sony has put forth

ok vertical business model I hear ya.

The problem isn't that sony sucks at it, but that Apple has Steve Jobs.

But he won't last forever.

but, but he is one of the two steves who gifted us with computers, and returned for exile to raise us back onto the path of righteousness. he is an immortal, with his disciples such as Ive

...wow, this thing is the biggest piece of shit ever released, surpassing the 32x and the Virtual Boy.

It's worse in every concievable way to its predecessor, as well as being much more expensive, and having higher priced games. Also, your old games don't work on it, despite it being the same console, and the screen is smaller.

Plus you can't really download games on it that well at all.

It was also made very cheaply by Sony, as in, it costs them less to make.

It's absolute garbage.

when did you buy it?

Seriously, why is it ok to troll the psp, while most reviewers have bashed it, the catual users who bought have all said positive things about it. I can seriously understand people mad about the price, but the hate is coming from those who already own one or never would get one.

lol, I would NEVER buy this. I just stated a few facts about the machine, and my opinion in relation to those facts. I didn't troll at all. Those bullet points are from the article, and I would buy it, if it wasn't the worst console ever released.

Who is buying these!?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

only 16 gigs that can not be upgraded, new peripherals will need to be developed by 3rd parities, or you have to buy a legacy adapter to use them, fewer games. smaller is not always better

I approve of the thread title.

Demon's Souls Official Thread  | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka

There's not a single PSP Go title that won't work flawlessly on my PSP 3000. However, there are a couple of 3000 games that aren't available for the GO. Aside from that, I don't care. Either PSP is amazing, as far as handhelds go. Movies, Music, internet, games, remote play, photos, etc.

But, now that I think about it, I can buy any game I want. I often do. When I look at my PSP library, EVERY game I play (except FF Tactics and MGS PO) is downloaded from the PSN! I have a ton of movies and music saved to multiple Memory Stick Duos, too. I won't do the math, but maybe the GO was the right portable for me. I never rent and I never trade in games. I do enjoy looking at my collections, though......

I admit, I was drawn into this thread because I wanted to laugh at some GO hate. I made this post to provide my two cents. I may have learned a little about myself in the process. Kooky.

Wait. The memory can't be upgraded?

Fail.

You also can't upgrade or change out the battery, for long trips, and are suck with the battery life it comes with.
