Forums - Nintendo - So, no Nintendo conference this fall?

Every year Nintendo organizes his own conference in October-November. We have seen so much stuff from Sony at Tokyo Game Show, but practically nothing from Nintendo. I was expecting them to announce a date for their October conference, but nothing has happened. Does this mean they are not showing anything new? No new games announcements? No Wii Zelda trailer? ...Nothing?

Around the Network

There was a thread saying it was cancelled

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

The show cancelled was the american one right? They have the VGXPO presence from 9 to 11 October...if nothing is showed there there MUST be a conference, to speak of Zelda DS, NSMBW, bundles and something else...please Reggie, read this forum!

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

People say there must be a conference, not so, Nintendo seem perfectly happy to announce dates etc via press release.

Dates are not new games announcements, I want fresh news about the Wii. Nintendo has been very weak this year refering to software for the Wii.

So was thrid parties

No, apparently not. Kyoto Cross went by with nary a peep, and it doesn't seem like they have any viable venues from here on out. VG Expo isn't going to yield anything of merit, since it pretty much never does.

So i would say we aren't going to hear anything until GDC in March, except for a press release about their Q1 games between now and then.

There will be nothing new until E3 2010.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Fullfilled Prophecies

You have conferences to announce new games. Nintendo don't do that no more.

Sounds like your usual bleakness, but this one is rather possible, if we consider nothing new to be announcements of entirely new games. They have enough already-known games to keep the schedule rather filled between now and June 2010, i think (moreso in the West than Japan, but whatever). But a venue between now and then would be nice.
