With Slim and price cut, Sony seems to be in a good  position against 360 (at least until Natal comes out).  

Sony perhaps had also thought the slim + price cut would put them in the good position against Wii as well.  

As this may be the time (the last chance) the Sony may be able to make a miracle happen, do you all think Sony should make some move?

If so what would it be?

I say the Sony's Motion controller is a great selling point against Wii whether it would be as successful or not is another question.  But at least people would look at it and see as $100 difference but now they can play High definition game, watch BluRay in addition to accurate motion control.  This would make many people think twice before grabbing Wii.

So I say Sony's next move is as simple as start advertizing their motion technology NOW.  Let the public know that it's coming in March.

I think sony should drop the ps3 to $279 just for the hell of it during November, and bundle little big planet with every ps3, thats a killer move, but hey Im not sony

hi sony has just recently done the price drop, if they do another one that's would make them loose money and every console they sell again just like when the ps3 first came out, a good move for sony, is to start advertising more (which they have started) and started bundling there successful games such as little big planet, metal gear solid 4, etc etc etc, here in Australia the latest bundle in ebagmes are the ps3 slim for 497.00 and you wither get call of duty 3 or marvel alliance 2, thats a pretty good bundle, well yeee sony is really on top and i bet its gana stay like this from know on, it was always bound to happen

Drop the price a little on a special holiday bundle.

Well they've got to leave it at $299 for probably at least a year so they can start to turn a profit, then maybe in Q4 2010 they can consider dropping it to $250.

They don't need to do anything until next year.

I'm not sure a 'next move' is important for them right now. I think they now have a good base to work from i.e. a somewhat affordable system and a good library, so now they need to continue bringing out the good games and giving more and more people a reason to buy.

I'm not yet convinced that the Wand is going to have much impact this generation but Sony just needs to focus on restoring people's confidence in the Playstation brand before the start of the next generation.

It took everything they got to push out the PS3 Slim with bundles coming and dropping the price $100, they can't do much more.

I guess the current strategy, games releases quite intelligently staggered to keep the momentum they got from the cut and easing Xmas sales acceleration, should be good enough. Another cut so early isn't a good move, they'd better keep it for Autumn 2010, if really needed.
