Yeah, I completely agree.

That was one of the Atari 2600's best gameplay mechanics with one of the Wii's best control schemes (IR plus analog), combined to make a really old idea feel fresh and new, and anybody can hop in and play.  Somebody really does need to flesh that experience out with some co-op and objectives and bigger levels.  It could be everything that Alien Syndrome was supposed to be.

Are you listening Shams? ;)

Tanks alone was worth every penny of the extra $10 you spend to get Wii Play.  I would definitely buy a fleshed out version of Tanks.

Switch - Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)
3DS - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Trilogy) (2005/2014)
Mobile - Yugioh Duel Links (2017)
Mobile - Super Mario Run (2017)
PC - Borderlands 2 (2012)
PC - Deep Rock Galactic (2020)

you know a bit sized & simple RPG....not turn based, action based, 2D....very simple with a flowerworkd type of art style = cell shaded

Make it include jumping & platforming elements if you guys can but should have a quirky story

but keep it 2D to make sure its bitesized.

I think at this point you need to decide whether to remake Tanks or remake Zelda 2. We all want tanks or 2-D action-RGP-platformers. Either way, just make sure the game has more spells/weapons than Zelda 2.

i'd go with the fleshed out tanks game too. that was the only game that i really liked in wii play, and it did make it worth the 10 bucks.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1

you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312

I would love to see a new lost in blue game for wiiware

I'd love to see an interesting take on Tower Defense, since it's such a simply addicting genre. There doesn't seem to be too many TD games on WiiWare (am I missing anything besides those FFish ones?).

Could be a TD where you have to build your own mazes (like Desktop TD) or it could be an ol' fashioned TD (like Vector TD). Either way, I'd be a happy camper.

yeah as rubang said, basically a 2D Zelda would be fab, but Cell Shaded!

Tanks is a good/great idea - I did really enjoy the title, and it would make for a great, enhanced, cheap WiiWare title.

I also played/finished Mass Effect recently, and it reminds me a bit of the action sequences of the tank/lander on the planet surface(s).

It also works out nicely for the 2-4 player option - and would work both as a co-op & fragfest.

The 'slow' nature of the particles/movement would make it work nicely - a bit like bomberman, but with more complex levels and tanks :)

...

I'll suggest this to the team now, and we'll see if it fits what we want to do for our next title.

If it happens - famousringo, U get the game credit :)

PS - StarControl II is one of my favourite games ever. Ever. EVER.
