When did you become an Xbot!?
Yeah,I agree.I also agree with sc that all consoles are pretty low on diversity this generation. The DS & PSP are the most diverse right now.I hope with the sony motion wands & wii's 2010 line-up(The Grinder,Other M,No More Heroes 2,Red Steel 2,Mario Galaxy 2,probably Pikmin 3 & Zelda),the ps3 & wii will be more diverse by the end of this gen.I honestly don't expect the 360 to be much more diverse than it is but let's see what Natal does.
3DS: tolu619
Wii U: FoyehBoys
Vita, PS3 and PS4: FoyehBoys
XBoxOne: Tolu619
Switch: Tolu619

Seriously, I think both 360 and PS3 are lacking in games aimed at children while Wii is the other way around.

The 360 has a good equal amount of WRPGs and JRPGs - something the DS and PSP don't have. Mass Effect, Oblivion, Risen, Fable II, Tales of Vesperia, Final Fantasy XIII, Star Ocean 4, Eternal Sonata among others.
And Japanese major games are mostly on the 360 now too - Devil May Cry 4, Tekken 6, Final Fantasy XIII, and a lot more are now multiplat. PS3 is getting a few niche games here and there, but nothing mind blowing.
The PS3 has nothing to compare to Halo, Gears, Left 4 Dead, etc. etc. More people play Halo 2 online than Killzone 2. And the PS3 does not appeal to America, at all, in fact it's so far behind that it can't make a comeback. It's doing fine in Europe though (as all PS systems do).
I am not dissing the PS3, it just doesn't have enough diversity really. PS2 was the same.
| McDonaldsGuy said: PS3 lacks WRPGs (even the WRPGs it gets are usually later than the 360 or inferior to the 360 version), even JRPGs (barely getting a few here and there, mostly 360 ports), and it lacks RTS games, and it also lacks flagship shooters. PS3 has an identity crisis - if anything. PlayStation and the PS2 had loads of Japanese exclusives, but now that the Japanese devs have moved on to MS, Sony is stuck and can't appeal to the western audience. They have had some success in Europe though. |

That's hilarious! There isn't a single major (or even kinda big) 360 exclusive coming from Japan. I don't want go out and said no exclusives at all, because I'm sure there'll be some SHMUP port that'll never come to America.
| Seihyouken said: PS3 does have a lack of exclusive fighting games. Both now and upcoming. |
There are a lot of decent to good fighting games already on the market as multi plats. and more are upcoming
Street Fighter 4
Soul Calibur 4
King of Fighters 13
BlazeBlue
And soon Tekken 6
As for shooter other than COD as a distinctive Multi plat shooters all others lie as exclusive: GOW, Halo/ KZ. R2
Action Adventures there's no good ones I can seem to recall so hopefully U2 will lead the edge their
I don't want to ramble but I'm proud of Sony it took them three years and stock crash of 140-$30 to really get their head in the game
Now they need more focus on other market feilds too.
