You're either just sad, or you really can't see beyond your fanboy blindfold.

Yeah, try looking at my posting history and say that again, I DARE you. It's nice to know that you like many other's revert to calling names when caught in defeat. Btw, I'm reporting you.

There cant be light without darkness, there cant be peace without war. And there cant be exclusive without multiplatform. What is multiplatform? What is not multiplatform? If something stops being exclusive, what does it transform to? Castle Crashers was an XBL exclusive, and are now releasing on PSN - what does that mean? When refering to Castle Crashers, what would you define it as? Would TomTom GPS be touch phone interface exclusive?

That, didn't make any sense, There can and ARE exclusives WITHOUT Multiplatform...even more so since there is no other competition for the game, and no way to confuse people as you have obviously been confuzed.

If we can define what multiplatform is, and we have, then the same product that classifies as a multiplatform, can not be exclusive.

Yes, we also clarified that Multiplatform is pointless to this whole thread.

Its like saying that water is "exclusive" to ice.

XD What? that is possibly the WORST analogy I have ever read/heard!!! You crack me up!

Explain yourself. You cant just go "no.. ", when arguing your case. Try to give your points as to why something is the way it is.

A) How can there be Exclusive without a definition of what multiplatform is? If there's only peace, how can you define war?
B) Where is multiplatform clarified as "pointless", i don't see anyone buy you arguing this and I havn't agreed on it? And even you haven't explaind why. Quote it.
C) How can something released on multiple platforms at the same time be Exclusive? Explain. Give reference or examples.
D) If we, including you, have agreed that PC is a platform. Why wouldnt a game be multiplatform if released on multiple platforms? Even if you think its pointless. Please enlighten me.

And like Shio said "Halo 3 is console exclusive because it's not coming to PC, while Mass Effect is on PC and is not exclusive to consoles"

E) Why would you want to add "Console" to the word "Exclusive" when the word Exclusive is commonly used to describe a game exclusive to a platform?

You're answers don't have to be long at all.

Let me just add this.

No one thinks Phones or PC are REAL gaming consoles, Jack Thompson never bitched about a game being on PC or Phone, There was never a GTA exclusive to PC or Phone (and i dont mean cheap ports, i mean full investment) nobody puts a PC in there backseat of there car to play Crysis at 15 fps, no kid wants a computer for christmas, so he can figure out how to set it up and try to figure out why hes playing slide show. Oh and computers have installs on ALL games. Console = pick up and play.

Computers are the same as Phones, they can play games but WHO CARES? Unless your a PC or Phone nerd who lives on the computer, im not talking about playing games on it but i mean live on it, like 24/7 on it WoW type shit then your not gonna care about gaming on PC.

If you honestly think that about PCs then you've obviously missed out on some of the very best games available in the world over the last 2 decades.

Seriously, the level of ignorance from console only gamers on this forum is ridiculous.

Oh, and btw, your console is becomming more and more like a PC. Installing a game means that you don't have disk loading issues... oh look at that, both 360 and PS3 allow you to install data to the HDD to speed things up... fancy that eh?

@Scoobes

And some of the best games were available on consoels only, See i can do the same thing?

Did you know PC are never gonna be as good as consoles? Try playing Halo 4 player split screen, oh wait...

Consoles are taking the best thing from PC are making them selfs even better than PC's. the only thing PC have on consoles is Browser (Better than PS3s and 360 dosent have one, Wii havnt really played with it).

Sooner or later things like Photoshop will be able to run on the PS3, and other consoles. Consoles are taking over, PC Empire came crumbling down with the PS1,The PS2 finished the Job.

Why do you think Crysis is coming to consoles? Its because the high rate or pirates/People who cant run the game. Many PC Exclusives are coming to Consoles.

@ Garnett - Well that didn't add anything really :)

Consoles do sell more copies. But pc exclusives like Sims 3 did 1.5m first week. Age of Conan did 400k in two days. Crysis have gone platinum while still being the top most pirated PC game when it first released. And Free Realms have been played by 5m users. World of Warcraft : Wrath of Luch King sold 2.8m in the first 24 hours and WoW has total sales of close to 10m.

On another note, not a good one but to show PC user activity, Call of Duty 4 had 1m pirated downloads within its first months via the torrent site MiniNova, only! So if we take into account that theres atleast 5 major torrent sites, thats 5m pirated downloads.

So while consoles may be more user friendly and sell more copies, to claim that people dont care about PC gaming is just plain wrong. But this thread is about whether nor not PC/Console can be called exclusives. And we've established that they can not.

Oh, please, this is cringeworthy.

PCs were the breeding grounds for most modern game genres and are still the best platform to play WRPGs, RTS games, simulators, MMOs, most FPSs, indie games and all kind of emulated abandonware. Plus it's the home of limitless free content in the form of homebrew levels, mods, entire multiplayer games built by users on engines such as Neverwinter Nights 1/2 and so on. A self-respecting gamer has to be really limited to not find something worthy among all those resources.

As for "casual", that might be true of The Sims, but on no other platform you'll find the same incredibly hardcore dedication. Please tell me what there is of casual in the ten years of appeal of games like Counterstrike or Starcraft, or in the intricate community life of MMOs.

If your gaming life and culture turns around a split screen Halo N and little more, that's only your problem. It's not like lions don't exist just because all you see in your neighbourhood are racoons.

Further, none of this "PCs are not gaming platform" nonsense is relevant to the thread, I won't further comment on it.

The term "console exclusive" should stand. Thats only because in my perspective, PC gaming seems irrelevant in today's gaming world, with the exception of MMO's. This argument would be much easier, if statistics for the PC version of the "console exclusive" games are available.

looks like I have to post this a third time:

Do you want to know how stupid the "console exclusive" term is?
A PC exclusive means that it is exclusive to PCs.
A Xbox 360 exclusive means that it is exclusive to Xbox 360s.
A Console exclusive means that it is exclusive to Consoles!! That means that it is not coming to PC.
You can't use "console exclusive" to coin a PC/X360 game, or any game that is shared with the PC.
Halo 3 is console exclusive because it's not coming to PC, while Mass Effect is on PC and is not exclusive to consoles, capiche?

There's nothing subjective about the term "exclusive", the problem is that fanboys try to twist their meaning.

totally agree with the red part, good post
