What do those games have in common? There casual!
Wii sports > Sims sales PC are not gaming platforms, thats an secondary option. |
Oh, please, this is cringeworthy.
PCs were the breeding grounds for most modern game genres and are still the best platform to play WRPGs, RTS games, simulators, MMOs, most FPSs, indie games and all kind of emulated abandonware. Plus it's the home of limitless free content in the form of homebrew levels, mods, entire multiplayer games built by users on engines such as Neverwinter Nights 1/2 and so on. A self-respecting gamer has to be really limited to not find something worthy among all those resources.
As for "casual", that might be true of The Sims, but on no other platform you'll find the same incredibly hardcore dedication. Please tell me what there is of casual in the ten years of appeal of games like Counterstrike or Starcraft, or in the intricate community life of MMOs.
If your gaming life and culture turns around a split screen Halo N and little more, that's only your problem. It's not like lions don't exist just because all you see in your neighbourhood are racoons.
Further, none of this "PCs are not gaming platform" nonsense is relevant to the thread, I won't further comment on it.
