People are rebuying PS3 because its a Slim unit.

People are rebuying 360s because they RROD.

People are...wait, I don't know anyone who has bought a new Wii. They either still have their original or sold it.

If anything, the 360 and PS3 should be getting MORE sales for all these extra purchases.

well concidering the 4.2 is bricking wiis theres a good reason to get a new one. I mean most people don't care enough to use insurance.. and a lot of people has probably modded their console.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just get it repaired, rather than buy an entirely new console? Nintendo's even doing free repairs on non-modded consoles, and I doubt they'll refuse to repair a modded one ($90 vs. $200).
