Seriously, this is one of the best games to come out this year, the best game on the WII for sure.

And yet only 120,000 units sold?

What is wrong with you guys.

Go and buy the game and enjoy!  It's a work of art and a pleasure to play.

The same happenend with it predecessor on the PS2. It seems that this type of game has not many fans.

I was thinking about getting it until I made you vomit.

It's vanillaware. They never make more than one or two print runs of copies then just stop.

Similar to Suikoden series and Cing developed games. Odin Sphere was a spiritual follow up to a Saturn game called Princess Crown.

I don't see what's so appealing about this game.  It looks like it would get seriously repetitive.

Hack 'n slash is generally not my style.

Oh yeah you say that now, but if they ported the game over to the PS3 or 360 you would be mad.

To be fair,if this was a PS3/360 game how many Wii owners would care about it?

Where are these genres coming from that people are pulling out of nowhere? Hack N' Slash? Dungeon Crawler? Not even close. It plays like an Action Adventure with RPG elements, which it is. Think Okami, or Castelvania, but faster. Seriously, it is far from a Hack'n Slash. As for Dungeon Crawler, where the hell did that come from?

Not in a hurry to get this, just got my Wii last month :D ... right before the price cut :(

I love the character design and art of this game, getting older cheaper titles first :p

haha yeah!

To me it feels closer to the old NES Ninja Gaiden games in terms of action. Fast action, many enemies,Side scroller and every level ends with a big boss.

Similar but not exactly the same, though this video the guy makes it look easy, but hell no this game is hard.

It comes from people just looking at a couple minutes of gameplay footage (or even just images) and then passing off the game as one of those genres.  Its pretty evident whenever their comments are followed by 'I don't own the game' or 'It doesn't look like something I'd like' (aka, I don't own the game).

In short, they don't know what the gameplay really is and are just calling it something based on their preception of it being a hack n' slash or dungeon crawler.  It would be like someone just seeing 2 minutes of random footage of a Zelda game and calling it a 'random Action/Puzzle' title.
