8.6 seems fair. The music is a mix bag and the tedium between bosses and challenges becomes problematic. That said, I fully enjoyed the gesture-based quick time events in boss fights and the challenges quite a bit. The cutscenes didn't do much for me either. The presentation is quite nice and the obscurity of the boss finishes and the commentary make the game a blast to play.

Pixel Art can be fun.

8.8 I'm happy that you chose a game that I actually own :) This is definitely not a game for everyone. The only thing that really bothers me about the game is that the black and white style graphics hurt my eyes a bit and then I have to turn it off and rest for a while. Other than that the graphics are actually pretty nice. At first it was hard for me to figure out where I was going because a lot of the things looked the same. But after I got used to the map it got very fun. Especially using weapons and such. Overall though it is a very good Wii game and I hope Sega continues to deliver.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

8.0

Pros:

  • Great art style
  • Fantastic commentary
  • Good use of the WiiMote
  • Fun beat-em-up

Cons:

  • Action is repetitive
  • The music is not my cup of tea, so it's tiresome after a while.
  • Camera is iffy.
  • It's hook is crazy carnage, but the "shock and awe" wears off about 3 minutes in.

Nice game.
Fun to swing the chainsaw and throw people into spears or whatever. Also I really like the music. Only played about 1 hour, but well I heard it's pretty short and even at the end of the first hour I could feel the repetitiveness. Which is btw. a problem of many Hack'n'Slash games IMO.

Would give it a 7.8

It was a decent attempt to branch out into the "hardcore" audience but the game fell flat on some crucial places. It was surprisingly short and the replay value is lacking for me. The art style is something that sorta got tiresome after a while. The black and white may be good for some people but i just got tired of it after a while.

It was nice to have a more action orient game on the wii, but even that factor tends to leave after a while. Overall it was an alright game but I don't think it ranks with the best of them.

I give to it 7.5

A nice game, totally different, but too short and even being short, too repetitive.

It's a funny game with a daring art style and good boss fights.

On the down side, the controls felt a little clunky compared to other action games on the Wii, the story might as well not have been there, and the content fell a little short.

After playing it for 2 hours I still haven't got the will to finish it.

6.5/10

i wasn't expecting too much so i wan't that dissapointed. the violence and AWE effect wares off pretty quick, i got bored of it pretty quick. the art style on the other hand is good, and the blood splatter looks good too. the voice acting is pretty nice but what stands out more is the funny announcers that talk in the background while playing. i didn't have the will to finish it all the way though, but i got far enough to make an opnion about it.

honestly wounldn't recomend it to anyone, i was hoping it would more resemble No More Heroes... it didn't :/
