Forums - Nintendo - Wii loses another RPG in Japan. Shiren 3 was on Wii, Shiren 4 is on...

I don't understand the term "another", when did it loose an RPG in japan in the first instance?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I just noticed the "another" myself. Such a blatant agenda.

The problem is that we don't have a Megatron. Every time Starscream stealth trolls the Decepticons, Megatron puts him back in his place.

^_^

I think the two DS Shirens were remakes of the GB Shirens? The first two Shirens have yet to be remade or rereleased as far as I know.

The fact that there is even a Shiren 4 so soon is strange enough. Usually there's one numbered game per generation, and Shiren 3 skipped a generation entirely.

Finally, the drought of RPGs on the DS has come to an end.

In other news, DS lost an RPG to Wii.

DS got Dragon Quest IX.
Guess who gets Dragon Quest X......

Favorite post so far.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Actually, this is good: Shiren 3, while solid, was a departure in many ways from previous games in the series--hopefully this is a return to form.

They could have at least waited until Shiren 3 was released in the West.
