Forums - Gaming - So what happend to Microsoft and Nintendo at TGS?

To be honest, TGS on the whole was terrible. Ah well, at least it had LBP with a motion controller, and something resembling a Last Guardian teaser.

Oh, and also HEAVY RAIN!

Yeah, Sony wins.

EDIT: You know it's a shitty show when somebody can win by showing a recycled teaser, a bunch of screenshots, and an IR pointer.

I saw video of Crackdown 2, that was enough for me.

Nintendo weren't at TGS to announce things (never are). And Microsoft just announced some Natal stuff (to combat Sony's wand stuff).

Although if Microsoft actually release a Katamari game for the 360, I'll have to get it. Not because it'll use Natal, but because it's Katamari....

Silly rabbit, there is a Katamari game coming out for the 360. They demo'ed it at the Natal screenings.

1. yes, traditionally, Nintendo is anti-TGS.

2. Microsoft doesn't have studios that make games appealing to Japanese gamers.  If Microsoft announced getting another PS3 exclusive franchise like they did in 2008, 2009 E3, that will only piss off Japaense even more.

3. Didn't you get Beautiful Katamari on X360?  X360 controller doesn't seem so intuitive for Katamari games.

Basically, Sonyis the only one that showed up...or so it seems.

dont you mean what happened to all 3... it was shit all round.

surprisingly, i agree with you on this one.

it's one of the worst TGS in history.  nothing was announced.....  maybe the major developers do learn their lessons not to announce new games too soon.

TGS has always been a mostly Sony event.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

I know mostly what Sony did, but how about god dam Nintendo and Microsoft?
Absolutly nothing?That simply ain't smart.

Nintendo doesn't go to TGS. They typically hold their own conference in the fall.

I don't know about microsoft.

But they announced Price cut at Tgs right?Or was it on its own conference?

Well what happend there?

Their own conference. They have a tendency of announcing things at the time of the conferences but not specifically at them.

Not their own conference, just an admittedly cleverly timed press release.

@ Simulacrum: Nintendo doesn't go to TGS, that's why you haven't heard anything. They haven't shown up at all since 2005, when Iwata revealed the Revolution and its controller. You don't hear anything because they're not there.
