I just rented killzone 2 and i like the game very much but there was 1 thing i'm confused about. I was wondering why the ISA don't were any breathing masks over there faces? I read in some Killzone 2 history that the helaghast wear them to protect ther lungs from the atmosphere.

logic would dictate... isa can breathe the air and the helghast cant.

You know... army budget. It's like asking US army to properly equip their man in Iraq.

A very good point, and one I noted too. But clearly they wanted us to 'see' the characters and for an easier difference between ISA and the Helghast. Still, I reckon you're right - they should have needed breathing equipment - I think some characters even talk about how the Helghast need breathing equipment to survive!

Just one of those things you're supposed to ignore, like most of Transformers 2 or the strange plot holes in Star Trek.

i believe the story is that the effects of the atmosphere require prolonged exposure. the helghast did not have masks at first either. it was after that the air did things to them that they started wearing them. i guess the thinking is that the isa will not be there long enough to warrant masks.
