Who is Trent Reznor? The fact I have to ask and I did not Google him (and kind of skimmed though about three lines of his interview) is because his opinion means as much to me as what some 'fat' guy ate for lunch last week. I think you should be "banned" for posting interviews with guys who have never even played any of the systems they are bad-mouthing about. Like I do not own a wii, so I should not be the guy to tell you what games are good or not; the same can be said for a wii owner who does not own a 360 and so on and so forth. Really what I got from this and reading everyone's post is this guy is a "Nobody" wanting to be "somebody" by being a "smart Ass" on the internet.

Trent Reznor is the man who scored Quake. And he scored the demo for Doom 3, but didn't end up scoring the game that time around for some reason I forget.

And he puts free albums on the internet without copyrighting them, so he's awesome as hell!

Trent Reznor has also worked on game soundtracks, so it isn't like he wasn't connected to the game industry.

He had to much going on, in other words he just didn't have the time for it. He also didn't like how the whole project was managed.

Pretty good summary for me but I don't dis-like the other approaches to game design. I just think N understands that gameplay is more important than graphics so they focus on fun. I personally put graphics at the bottom of the list with gameplay, replay value, and controls at the top ;)

I completely agree with the motion controls though and think that without an analog stick, buttons, and vibration that you can only have simple mini-games with pure motion. It does make me realize how well the wiimote is designed. I hope the next N console sticks with a similar design for the wiimote/nunchuck but then again I wouldn't mind another big change from N. I like trying new and unique things so bring it on!

Okay, finished reading the whole article. Great read. He talks about his favorite arcade games, Japanese arcades, Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and his attempts to pitch his own video game.

Now I gotta listen to some NIN, haven't done that in too long.
