It has critic score in 8.2 and Gamespot goes and gives it 5.0/10 ??Wtf.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona Review

This decidedly old-school role-playing game got a fresh coat of paint but not the complete overhaul it needed.

The Good

  • Intriguing story with two distinct paths to follow  
  • New, more authentic localization.

The Bad

  • Tedious combat  
  • Boring, ugly environments  
  • Absurdly high random-encounter rate.

those bads are really bad though...

Especially:
-Absurdly high random-encounter rate.

I mean didn't they even add an auto mode so you can get the random encounters over with quickly.

This review is just bad. Are they even realizing this is a port of a over 10 year old PSone-game? The review should have been done in a different standard.

That sucks... the story seemed really good but high encounter rates would ruin that for me. The encounter rate in FFX almost ruined it for me, if that means anything.
