Didn't the GameCube do well after a price drop in America too? Can't remember if it outsold the PS2 but it may have.. So the moral of the story is..

I think this gen may end up very close for all three companies, good for us gamers though. competition means better service/price from the companies.

The PS3 will have to sell double the amounts the Wii and X3600 sell in any one wekk to even make a dent so lets say by 2011 it may just have caught up lol by then nobody will be bothered as they'll be playing Nintendo's and Microsoft next offerings anyway

I wonder what caused the boost, probably some people have just started doing their christmas shopping, but just a fraction amount of people, we will be seeing a lot of boost in late november due to NSMBwii and in December due to Christmas spirits.

Well lets see.......so far your track record of predicting PS3 sales post slim week have been 50K - 40K off

Japan approx 50k down 66%
Europe approx 130k down 50% (based on France)
USA approx 80k down 40% (assumed slightly better than Others)
260k (WAS actually 306K)
I'm now expecting below 180k to 190k for week ending 19th (WAS actually 250K)

So as your predicting 190K for next week.....it should be at around 230K I think (will probably be at 210K due to TOV boost gone)
But Wii will outsell it next week due to a price decrease is a no brainer, the wii increase will be interesting to watch.
