Forums - Sony - Lost Planet confirmed for PS3, but does anyone care?

Capcom screwed over the PS3 fanbase so much, not a single good thing from them, they also said it would make up for MH3, LOL. No one wants this crap lost planet. 50k sales lifetime on the PS3 at most.

Gran Turismo its Sony that has screwed over the PS3 userbase, not Capcom. They made high priced and slow selling system that has 3rd party developers shifting their support to other plaftorms.

Sure, the author links to the PC version on Metacritic, while the 360 version is rated considerably higher. Nice spin, there.

Maybe because the PC version is the only version that contains everything the PS3 will and just came out a few weeks ago showing how reviewers view the game now as opposed to the 360 version that came out 10 months ago. The ps3 version is going to be the same as the PC version, not the 360 version.  You should realize the ps3 version is going to score closer to the pc version and not the 360 version.

A little common sense goes a long way in life.

woohoo another lost exclusive ...

uhm.. sorry I just wanted to try saying it once , but it's not as fun as it seemed to be, when fans of some other console said it

It's amazing you could look at this whole thread and not realize the game is also on PC. That would make it not exclusive. A dictionary will confirm what exclusive means if you aren't sure.

Actually, since you think games that are 360/pc are still exclusive until they go to ps3, you just confirmed bioshock is now an exclusive. Thanks for the clarification and gaming knowledge Lafiel.

@ erikers )

I'm sorry you didn't get my sarcasm , although I was quite sure it would be easy to grasp even without [SARCASM] marks ,ahh well my bad.

Beggars cannot be choosers. Capcom gave Sony a year to turn the situation around. Sony failed to do that. Their new console is anything but a dream to develop for, and the profits to be had are meager. Most games sold on the PS3 so far may not have generated any profits, and might have even shown losses. Sony fans should be pleased that Capcom did not add to the problems sooner. They had every right to do so.

These militant Sony fans need to know their role, and shut their mouths. Your console is not god this generation. Your console has no real value to developers. Your console will get what it gets, and any time you get something you should be thankful. The reality is that you don't have anything coming to you. You most certainly have no right to be picky.

The reality is that the PS3 owners traded up games. Unfortunately some of them liked the game they were losing, but Capcom does have a responsibility to make money. Their job is not to save the PS3, and by porting an older game they stand a better chance of making money. They can then save their most exclusive game for the console with the greater market value.

The Sony fans should be thankful they got anything. I know some of them are used to getting everything they want, but that is not this generation. That was last generation. Lost Planet had some success, and it should help the library if nothing else. Hopefully if it succeeds perhaps the PS3 can see more 360 ports for older games. That might improve the volume of the library, and give the PS3 owners a larger selection.

@erikers:

Actually, if you paid any attention you would know that the critics specifically stated that the PC version was inferior to the 360 version. From the Gamespot review:

"...the PC version can't quite reach the heights of its console counterpart, thanks to inexplicable design decisions and broken online play."

So instead of hanging around and looking for ways to insult people, why don't you shut up and do some research before you open your mouth.

Hates Nomura.

Capcom can go to hell ,they havent released a single PS3 game and are stil nitpicking that the console doesnt sell as expected .Go to hell Capcom ,the console is selling better that the 360 last year worldwide so shut the mouth .

Lost Planet is a good game ,and with the free online play and all the DLC in one BR it should be a competent package .If it is sold at a reduced price I could even buy it myself .But this isnt the kind of game we were expecting to counter the loss of MH3 .

All in all if Dark Void and SF4 are heading for the PS3 (even as multiplattform ) I think it would be a acceptable change .We lose MH3 and get instead Dark Void ,Streetfighter 4 ,Bionic Commando and Lost Planet .Four games ,three of them new ,instead of one .

Dodece :I know you like the current situation but you are calculating it like a madman. You see ,most of the games are being announced for the PS3 .The Wii ,on the other hand ,cant say the same .Prototype ?Pandora the Box ?Battlefield Bad Company ?Army of Two ?Fallout 3 ?Dark Void ?Bionic Commando?Etc etc .The day the new games are announced for 360 and Wii exclusively then you speak ,like it or now but even with the PS3 selling less its still a safer bet to develop a game for 360-PS3-PC and spend something in the PS3 version that to develop a totally new (and screwed ) Wii version from scratch because the machine cant handle the game .

It really does just seem like Capcom is only throwing the PS3 scraps now and trying to act like they're getting a buffet.
