Forums - Sony - Lost Planet confirmed for PS3, but does anyone care?

I care. I loved it, playing it over friends. Now I can play it too (I've heard it sucks on the PC).

I played the PC demo...was pretty much the same.

Plus, I think it's only $20 or $30 on Steam.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

A mediocre and unoriginal game selling well on PS3? Who does Capcom think we are, Xbox owners?

(Please don't start a killing spree on me ;)

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

If its special half price, maybe.

Is it upgraded from the 360 version, Like the Ovlivion port ?

Yea, it better be something better than this. Lost Planet can eat my ass, I don't think I have ever for even 1 second thought "Hey, I really want that Lost Planet game. If only Capcom could find some way to hype it up really good and feed it to us instead of any actually good or new games!"

Dark Void better be awesome and it better be PS3 exclusive or -10 for Capcom.

Lost Planet+ on PS3 is good because PS3 sales will not do well until next year anyway, in time for the game.

Why does Dark Void need to be exclusive?  Japanese companies want to see their games in the American market and PS3 doesn't have much presence over here.  It it is a good game, it should be ported.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

Lost Planet (PS3)

Avaialable early next year and will include all bonus characters from the PC version and extra downloadable content from the 360 version making it the complete package. Made possible with Blu-ray. 16 player online over the PSN.

I say exclusive because that's what it would take to satisfy the militant PS3 owners, which is what they said this would do. And I don't really care if they port it or not, I'm still not getting it, and a port of a game that's already been out for a year is not huge news. It would be huge news if they had all sorts of news about Dark Void and it was awesome. Even if it was multi platform.

Capcom is kind of out of it if they think everyone is going to jump on a year old port when the PS3 versions of, for example, Oblivion, are selling less than they probably would if they came out at the same time as they do on other consoles.

If it helps any, people do love the port-of-a-port that is Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition.

There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.

I didn't even think Lost Planet was that good got kinda boring i thought(PC version)

Sure, the author links to the PC version on Metacritic, while the 360 version is rated considerably higher. Nice spin, there.

Hates Nomura.

The story kinda sucks

I rented it, I basically just rushed through it to get the achievement points and then I returned it and never touched it again... it kinda sucks, not sure why it got so much hype.
