Especially considering that GT5 is only 65% complete.  What's the point in even comparing?  So much can change in that last 35% of development.

Well i knew this was going to happen.

The author clearly states that he is making a judgement based on the demos available on the show floor and not the final versions; he's giving impressions not a final review.

I agree that in everything i have seen so far GT5 looks better but he points out the GT5's scenery doesn't hold up to close scrutiny. I can't say because i haven't played either game but is it possible he's got a valid point?

Given that the Gran Turismo series has an average Metacritic rating of 93% (across the four main games) and Forza has an average rating of 91% i don't think it's that surprising that ONE journalist prefers Forza 3 over GT5.

people were hash with GT4.
mainly becuse it only had more cars than Gt3,

but it's certainly better than forza and forza 2.

That's exactly what he said, he said Forza 3 is the better arcade racer. While clearly stated in the title Gran Turismo is a simulation racer.

As for the visuals, the majority of other comparison give Gran Turismo the edge, and from the shots I've seen this is true. Yeah the enviroments are better in Forza, but the cars look bland and dull.
