Forums - Sales - Denise Kaigler says Wii has greater than 50% market share

http://ie.wii.ign.com/articles/102/1028235p1.html

"We definitely believe that there is a lot more opportunity, a lot more potential, to get Wii in the hands of the consumers. We have more than 50 percent of the market share, but still there are a lot of consumers out there who haven't quite jumped into the game and who haven't quite been given the reason to purchase a Wii."

Do you think she's talking about Worldwide or in the US? Is she wrong, or have they somehow sold enough to retailers to reach 50%?

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Either the Wii is heavily undertracked or she's lying.

She must be having 'issues' lol

Maybe she is looking at the numbers since the release of Wii, so part of 360's sales would not be counted then.

Who?

or she could be looking at shipped figures, but that doesn't really make sense either.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
