hell no, killzone plays better then call of duty games, sorry not even close, i like halo, but its boaring, its the game the real nerds follow, killzone is the best shooter out yet, deal with it, IMHO

Fix'd

Uh, no. KZ2 isn't the best thing since sliced bread. Now, graphically, it's awesome. But KZ2 was so epic, why did COD4 own it?

You have your opinion, but man, a lot of your fellow PS3 mates don't agree with you.

Ahhhhhhhh, I love it... nothing brings out the sub-100 posters like a Halo thread!

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Incredible, just incredible...

I still can't believe that we're discussing this...

1. People bring the "Killzone 2 hype" argument, seriously??? do you think Killzone 2 got real hype just because Vgchartz and other WEB sites were hyping it??? study a little of marketing and you'll know that TV is still #1 when it comes to advertising, also look at banners (not web banners, street banners, go outside to the real world), go to retail stores, and even look at really popular non-gaming web sites, do you still believe Killzone had hype?

2. People bring the "they're both FPS" argument, then i have to compare Halo with Wolfestein 3D, Doom, Quake, Half-Life, Goldeneye, Duke Nukem 3D, and even a Bungie title pre-Halo called MARATHON...

We can compare Bungie and MS with Carmack and Romero (and you know he's gonna make you his bitch XD ), we can compare Halo shooters with every FPS before and after Halo... And what do we get? nothing, it's simple people, Halo became the strongest FPS brand ever, and comparing their sales to any shooter besides Call of Duty is like comparing Mario sales to Little Big Planet's (and people did it, i swear) or comparing Final Fantasy sales to Persona's...

Do you know what would be interesting to compare? the day a shooter beats Halo, or the day a racer passes Gran Turismo, or the day a platformer beats Mario, or the day a JRPG passes Pokemon, or the day a life-simulator beats The Sims, or a sandbox game beats GTA (of course, i'm talking saleswise) why??? because the strongest brands are supposed to crash sales, so it's no surprise when they do... but when another game passes them??? that's real news... Until then, this comparisons are really pointless...

1.  Totally agree.  Besides a few banners on websites, and the hype of fans themselves on boards, Killzone didn't really get a huge push as far as normal forms of advertising goes.  I mean Halo was everywhere.  It even had its own freaking drink.  I am kinda wondering how much profit they actually made on the Halo game compared to how much they actually spent on the ad campaign before it's release.

2.  Again agree.  If these were truly supposed to be competing with each other, they would have released within the same week.  Of course, Halo would have still crushed it because of the fan following that Killzone 2 lacked.  But sales truly don't matter, because Killzone 2 is still a kick ass game.  Besides, it's at 2 million sold, so it was a success.

Also, I can't understand the critizism that Killzone 2 had no auto aim.  Me personally, I don't need a t game to aid in my aiming.  I can that pretty well myself.  IDK auto aim just seems like something an inexperienced gamer would need to beat a game.

i remember a while back there was a valkyria chronicles outsells blue dragon thread..similar, but i guess this one means more to most people..
