Pick your site. IMO 2008 had better AAA titles, but I found more quality games in 2009. Surely missed a few though, but I tried my best. Overall I wouldn't say that 2008 had the better first 8 months
Good list tho I would replace Madworld with something else. Fun game still.
Killzone deserves It's spot though SFIV is still the highest rated this year on gamerankings I believe.
It's just that simple.
I'm curious if they had considered PC games while making this list. If so, Plants vs. Zombies seems like an obvious omission.
I really find it difficult agreeing much with that list regardless of the aforementioned omission. Scribblenauts, Beatles: Rockband, Fat Princess and NHL 10 come immediately to mind as better games than half of those listed... personally speaking of course.
I do, however, strongly agree with: The Secret of Monkey Island, Shadow Complex, Resident Evil 5 and Killzone 2... just not their placements.

All of them were released in September and the list probably made the cut at the end of August.
WHOA WHOA WHOA!
Total War 2 came out this year. It was definitely better than KZ2 as well. FAR better than red faction. Also plants vs zombies. That one came out of nowhere.

I agree with Killzone 2 and Batman AA. The rest I've either not played or suck. The ones I know suck are RE5 and SF4. The rest I haven't played so no opinion.
Many of the games mentioned are pretty average: Resident Evil 5, Red Faction: Guerilla, MadWorld... Wii Sports Resort should have been up there, definitely.

Your definition of average is very..... average.
