>___> what a stupid thread lol
it has every type of troll i can think of, even a wii = body fluid joke T___T
some of you need to put down the kool aid, the game isn't going to have a +50% attach ratio. probability says it will sell under 2m units. famitsu isn't way off, you just have to see sales trends for ps3 games and the size of the base to get an idea of what it'll sell... look at the LTD's for the latest FF titles on PLAYSTATION TWO. T___T
throw in final fantasy becoming less popular, smaller market overall on a platform thats less popular than the ps2.
and didn't we already know it wasn't going to live up to past final fantasy titles? given the size of the systems base it was pretty obvious...
theres a reason why the title is launching on two platforms in most countries....
and to answer the main question, given that ds and psp will be the biggest platforms in japan when this gen ends. its not hard to think the next FF will somehow be played out on the next nintendo/sony handhelds. dragon quest. kingdon hearts had a succsessful jump to the ds and the same will probably be said for the psp title. sqaure out of many of the large jp publishes would seem to be the most inclined to move FF in some way to the handhelds. thats where the market is going.
