well someone hasn't been reading much about ODST, i've heard at least two people from Bungie saying its ~7 hours long...

Gears 1 took me 4 hours to beat and many single player games are around the same length as ODST....don't state things as "fact" when theres offical information out there that proves you wrong...

If you dig my forum posts up on MGS4 you'd see I really do not rate the game highly.  I have criticised that games length, though the multiplayer was entirely new at least, unlike ODSTs.


1. Campaign is as long as RE5...if not logner when you consider in replayability.

2. Firefight is awesome and will eat up hours and hours of your time

3. Halo MP is considered the best around and this is more of the same. This includes all the maps ever made plus 3 new ones. So someone that did not buy Halo 3 mpas online is getting 12 new maps! Feel free to spend 800 + 800 pts and buy 9 of them separatly...thts around 20 bucks. If the going rate for 9 of the 12 maps is 20 bucks, surely the game which is logner that RE5 is worth 60 no?

Wait as far as I know:

Legendary Map Pack = 600 MSP

Mythic Map Pack Part 1 = 800 MSP

Mythic Map Pack Part 2 = will be released seperately after ODST

 

Or is Part 2 exclusive to ODST ? Anyway it's still worth 800 MSP

This "only" 1 new game mode is a critical selling point for the game like Horde is for GeoW2 = fact

Multiplayer brings 13 multiplayer maps, which weren't on the Halo 3 disc. Worth: $25 = fact

Game isn't sold at full price in Europe = fact

 

You are posting opinion and calling it fact for the first two, to anyone who bought those maps this just makes them have wasted money, , your last 'fact' is false also.  A website or two is not the whole of Europe.


Im sorry, but someone who has played the game is in much better position to post an opinion than someone that is just qouting what they may have heard... You did not play this and are claiming that its short? How do you know? Please enlighten us.

I'm telling you that the game has substance and length to it...as I've played about 2 hours already.

Youre right...legendary map pack started off at 800 then they lowered it to 600. Im pretty sure tey will elt the new Mythic map pack for sale separatly in 3 months or so...

Sooooooo what's the definition of "short" then ??? Isn't that an opinion of yours ?

"only 1 new game mode" or rather "1 exciting new game mode !" another opinion of yours.

How is a co-op mode which brings more value not a fact ? Going by your logic it wouldn't matter if the game had a multiplayer or singleplayer mode at all. It would be still the same value.

And I can name you at least 50 different European websites which have the game at a much much cheaper price than usual.

Even though I love Halo, I will probably wait a while to get this. I don't have many of the multiplayer maps, but I don't have the spare money. When the price for used copies come down I'll just pick it up then.

I would say the Metacritic score will be 87-93ish. Not bad at all.
