told you so.
ps3 was going to sell real JRPG better.

Obviously the core fanbase is there. Monster Hunter 3 beat the lifetime sales of the best selling PS3 game in Japan after only 2 weeks of sales. There's not really an argument for DQX selling better on PS3. FFXIII selling better on Wii however... |
so will Versus 13 in just one week.
1. Very nice sales for Tales of Vesperia and as a PS3 supporter and jrpg lover I'm very happy.
2. Too many fanboys lately.
3. A shitty Dragon Quest spin off managed to sell with a small userbase about 500k, so stop making some stupid arguments.
PD: I'm sorry for contributing to derail this thread.
nice job

Your number 3 just made you sound like number 2.
So how do you explain the 360 selling Tales of Vesperia with it's shittier than shit install base (less than 1 million back then)? 1 out of 7 people that had a 360 bought the game.
am glad to c this so now am confident it will hit the us and hopefully eu

Calm down Soriku.
And try not to make statements like this "Sengoku Basara 3 (coming to PS3 but it'll sell better on the Wii just due to the fangirls)".
What are you suggesting here?

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

Well I was way off on my prediction, I'll admit I didn't expect a port to do this well.
Also, for the Nintendo fanboys who are going into overdrive defense mode on DQX.
DQIX on DS is gonna be the best selling DQ game of all time, 4m+ sold, and 5m+ is definitely within the realm of possibility. IF DQX stays Wii exclusive, it'll sell significantly worse than that, my guess is SE will possibly move DQX development to the DS (where it can again reach those numbers) or make DQX multiplatform from day 1. Now, if they choose the 2nd option, I would expect them to go PSP/Wii instead of PS3/Wii because it would probably be much easier to port.

I was wondering about that as well. when did DQ and FF share the same fanbase? |
Since when do they do not?

Yeah, lots of DQ fans in the west play Final Fantasy and vice versa.
Dragon Quest X won't sell bad on the Wii at all, but by putting FF and DQ on different consoles will hurt the sales of both games. I believe DQ sales will be hurt in the west (again, not bad!) and FF sales in Japan.
