250k next week, with Tales of Vesperia, without it it would be 230k

Vesperia is a bit of an unknown quantity, right? I mean, ports don't usually drive sales to a large degree do they?  I mean I hope it does, but I'll remain on the slightly pessimistic side. No disappointment lol.

I think there is a ToV bundle coming out in Japan....and it's got a lot of things added to the game from what I've heard. Could be wrong about the "lot" of things, but being able to play as Flynn is what has me excited about the game.

no ToV bundle in Japan, Sony is pissed :(

the game is doing very well so far, the 1st day # should be out pretty soon.

do you know more specifically when?  I'm really curious with all the commotion Vesperia has caused.

edit: your domed-o-meter match your new avatar perfectly

lol it does? :)

I hope the numbers are good numbers and not a repeat of what happened last year with Eternal Sonata.

How does Wenlan know the numbers?  I can't imagine it not doing better than Sonata.  It seems to have gotten much greater praise, even though I was kind of interested in Sonata.  The lukewarm reception kind of scared me off to it.

these numbers are definitely in excess of what i had predicted. i think with the software lined up for the rest of the year sony stands in a great position to steal a great deal of casual gamers who would have normally gone with the cheaper xbox.

i don't want to get a little too crazy with predictions, but if this trend keeps up we could see the console war get really interesting in the coming months.

You can go a LITTLE crazy.  That's what makes internet forums so much fun!  You know you want too......  :D

I would be awestruck if the PS3 could level out at ~200,000 a week.  That would be pretty impressive.  This might be the first time Sony has almost everything going the way they want......

I'd just like to point out that in my analysis of the 550K week http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=85758 I predicted a 45% or less drop for PS3. Turns out I was right (just), the drop was more Wii-like than PS3 like. Still early days yet, but

no, i don't know the numbers.

but i can read japanese and i read the the threads made by japanese gamers at 2ch.  also, Amazon.com sale status gives you an outlook of how well ToV is doing.  having said that, Pokemon will probably still #1 on the chart this week :)

i don't think the case of Eternal Sonata can apply to TOV like some members at VGChartz suggested.  they clearly have no clue about how popular Tales games is in Asia.  i still love Eternal Sonata though

Coincidence? I think not.

Ah 2chan.  Okay, so you have some asian sources. Better than what we have here.  But Amazon! Wenlan, the baby seals!  lol.

Hopefully the Tales names can help it get 100,000 first week, but this is probably too optimistic. I'm not really sure haha.

These sales were known by TEH C3LL since launch day.  I bet if you impant a C3LL into a Jet, that's how fast it would go. Maybe faster.
