Forums - Sales - Tales of Vesperia (PS3) --- Predictions

Maybe it's not entirely the same thing, but I want to present similar situation....
http://vgchartz.com/swlaunch.php?reg1=All&game1=Eternal+Sonata+-+PS3&reg2=All&game2=Eternal+Sonata+-+X360&reg3=All&game3=&weeks=52
That's Eternal Sonata 360 vs Eternal Sonata PS3 that was released year later, with one year sales.
As you can see, 360 version performs a lot better (even that PS3 version outsells it at some point, but only for a little while).

I'm not sure whether ToV will perform the same way, but I hope it will do better than 360 version.

Edit: scratch that, didn't read whole topic.

So here's my prediction
1st week: 255k
Lifetime: 550-600k EDIT: Forgot that sales of Tales of games are pretty much frontloaded...I change it to 400k

I think it was a week or two ago TheSource was saying theres about 200K in preorders for ToV on the PS3 (This was before the PS3 Slim/price cut). So sales should be better.

Just read the thread again :).

If you don't want to:   The source said pre orders for ToV PS3 were over 200k in Japan.

Not that I believe the Source though.

Eternal Sonata =/= (Tales of Vesperia + 3)^2

No, you being wrong makes me right.

Threads are independant. Whatever some fool said about MH3 bombing in that threads bares no significance here. So you want to discuss Japanese market trends for what consitutes a flop? Make a thread. You come here here, make a Tales prediction.

See how easy that is. No swearing and im still right.

I'll spare the rest of you readers, this will be dealt with privately. Someone needs a lesson taught.

Thank god. Your pathetic bickering and trolling couldn't have been getting any more annoying.

Anyways, Source predicted a big first week, and preorders are already shown to be pretty high. 350k and up is very possible.

First week 245K

Lifetime 370K

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
