So MH3 selling more would mean less profit overall for the game? Run that one by me again...

MH3 didn't bomb, in fact it performed quite well.

The Monster Hunter franchise is very very popular in the handheld market, the huge sales are a proof (in a similar case, the pokemon franchise is a monster on handhelds too). Because of the On-The-Go feature that handhelds have and consoles don't.

History showed that it's not as good on consoles, with two iterations on PS2 proved to be a lot harder. Adding that the penetration on the west has not been as successful as in Japan (not even on PSP).

by selling over 800.000 units and reaching a million slowly. it has not been a failure on Wii at all.

Looking at some numbers on Japanese forums... 38,000 for DQ9 this week.

Very nice. And the japan preview was exactly on the mark I think. Impressive. Dragon Quest 4 million here we come!

Why do I keep seeing the question 'where is Gundam'? It's at #5 (name was translated incorrectly). That's pretty good for second week.

What was the first MH3 shipment, again? 1 million?

I think we know it is number 5, I just thought it would hold up because of PS3 slim bundles. Well right now we don't know the exact numbers of the game, so I guess we can't judge for all we know that could mean 30k. (Which it is!)

You mean PS3 Slim bundles, I think I read it sold 32,000.

I think some people wants MH3 to be a failure, and will call it one whatever happens.

DQIX still doing good :)
