*gasp* I know. A shocking thought. Who could possibly think that? Now before I continue, I know that these games are different in many ways, but they also share a good bit in common, most importantly, their main selling point. Both are penned as a four person co-op shooter experiance. They obviously go different routes in accomplishing this. Valve went with zombies and an episodic structure wjth a series of episodes. Meanwhile, Gearbox offers an open world with 30 main quests and 100 side missions. obviously, there is more to each game to that but i'm surprised that so many people are hyping lfd2 when it seems to me that what borderlands offers is just superior. In comparison, l4d2 seems to only have three things going for it, 1) It's made by valve and they have a huge following 2) Zombies, and people LOVE zombies 3) it's an exclusive which seems to make a game automatically 100 times better.
Honestly, if L4D2 doesn't stray FAR from the first game's formula. It's going to offer only a small amount of content, exspecially compared to the offerings of the huge world and millions of guns found in borderlands. Idk if I'm the only one, but it just seems like borderlands is by far the better bang for your buck and yet it goes relatively unnoticed. I haven't seen many people talk about it here at all which is sad, as the game looks amazing and it's one of my top 5 upcoming games and a must have.
I'll end here and save myself from making a wall of text, but what do you guys think?
