Forums - Nintendo - Scribblenauts to get UK localisation.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that English gamers will be able to write trousers instead of pants in it's upcoming word-em-up

Diaper, sidewalk, faucet, soccer – clearly these words have absolutely no place in the language of the Queen’s own English, and rather sensibly Warner Bros Interactive is set to localise and replace all Americanisms from the game for the UK audience.

“We won't be able to type in the American slang for bum-bag without getting into some bother”

We can't say we're not a little disappointed that we won't be able to type in the American slang for that nineties stalwart - the bum-bag - without getting into some bother, but you can't have everthing. Rumours of a Cockney-rhyming slang DLC pack are at this time unsubstantiated...

Good. It's annoying playing a game that's been released 6 months later over here so they could localise the game game yet all the words have the American spelling in game and the manual.

So no fanny packs

Around the Network

*cough*
You can write "trousers" in the US version....

But the game will hopefully spawn a true football when you type in the word. Soccer ball just seems wrong.
