I have no clue how sony is expecting to selling 10.5M PS3s by March.
That's 375k per week until march.

Hmm if it does 1M per week in December, then it only need to sell 270k a week until march.... that's pretty good I guess, but has it ever reached 1M in a week in Dec?

They are dead set on that number, until they change it. Which has happened in the past on several occasions. If they do announce a numbers change, it will happen when they publish their financial results. It is not normal to make these changes known between financial results unless they announce positive news.

well, if ff13 can boost Japan sales to the 100k mark for the couple of months after release (on average), then the ps3 will only have to sell about 100k more than they usually do in every other country combined.

Plus uncharted 2 and MW2, those could easily raise sales a good 30k for a couple of weeks, meaning that the price drop+ slim only have to sell hmmmm 50-70k more than they usually do, plus hit 1M per week in Dec. That doesn't seem too impossible.... In fact, it's becoming quite plausible...
