Did Sony pay Rockstar for Agent?

Sure, it is a good idea and makes me want to buy their console.

This thread seems related to what we are discussing:

They'll continue to try but with the PS3's ever increasing install base, it'll most likely start costing them more.

Tales of Vesperia, lol, and practically every game from Japan that come's a year later on the PS3. Look at the link above your

The cheapest and safest option is to buy out successful franchises instead of making new exclusive IP's and buying development studios. The less risk is the best option.
Third party titles are the most abundant and make up over 80% of all games on the market. Third party success is critical and money hatting will ensure a few timed exclusives. DLC exclusive content can always be bought from third party development studios for the right price.

That's not moneyhatting, imho...given a developer seed money to help curb the cost and reduce their risk isn't moneyhatting...it's smart business.  Evidently, they still couldn't make a profit, and needed to port the game, which shows that M$ provided some seed money, and the developer was able to cover the period of development...we have no idea what kind of back-end deal M$ has on spliting the revenue with the developers on the wholesale of the games.  had this guy come out and said...yeah...m$ is going around just throwing all the money we want to appease us...then you can say moneyhatting.  If anything, PS fans show be pissed at sony for not ensuring they help developers work on games for the console.  Don't blame m$ for wanting to ensure they have content...last time I checked...sony has HOW many internal studios again...vs M$...moneyhatting my ass.

I hope this keeps happening. 360 is used for beta, PS3 gets the good stuff.

However, I believe this is pretty much the end of the line for unannounced timed releases because
1) some blogger who was supposedly a developer said that M$ paid them off, and they used the profit of the 360 to make the PS3.
2)ToV & SO4
Even a kid can figure out that if they wait a year, they'll be getting the good stuff.

Microsoft needs to buy more in-house studios. Definitely some European and American Studios, and if they are lucky a Japanese one that wont say no in order to keep loyal to Japan and Sony.
