Before (and after) PS3 launched, there have been various revisions to the original design, as well as some fan-made concepts as to what people thought PS3 could end up looking like:

Some are quite funny, while others are very good. I LOVE the original "boomerang" controller. It's so much sexier than DS3!

I would've liked to feel how the boomerang felt in my hand before the dumb outcry canned it.  Sony should reintroduce it as a second option for the shape of dualshock 3.  They'd get some people who liked the feel of it to re-buy controllers.

The 3rd pic is actually real. It was produced by Sony but it is rather a fan made mod. Ben-Hack made the PS3 Laptop and quick google of his name and you will find some great stuff.

Thats one of the worst things I have ever seen in my life.

1) Third was was from some guy named Ben. It actually works.

2) I'm really happy they didn't go with the boomerang...
