i agree with this. it would be hilarity bordering suffaction if the hd consoles fell below in price to the wii. that would also make me feel like "i made the right choice" regarding my console of choice. XP

i'll summarise

PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles will get their feelings hurt and will feel like a cheap hooker.
unless that cheap hooker gets much cheaper they would be happy.

Value proposition probably doesnt matter to much to the average consumer. These consumers would rather get the best value for their money and as the 360 and PS3 get cheaper their value to the consumer goes up. Same with the wii

I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing any of this. I don't think people are sitting at home going, "Wow, Microsoft and Sony both cut their price, how pathetic!" More likely they're going "All right! Now that it's more affordable, I'll buy this." The 360 has already dropped below the Wii's price, and people have seemed to take quite well to that.

I dunno. Nintendo have had a reputation for affordable hardware. Wii's current price is still affordable, but if it were significantly more expensive than the HD twins it would look worse for them than Sony and Micosoft.

I think its about time they cut there price on the Wii. numbers shows it and I wouldn't sit on this, its the cheapest console to produce but still its almost as expensive as the PS3.
Personally, I'm waiting for the price cut to get another one lol ;)

The average consumer is not as stupid as you may see. If they see the XBOX360/PS3 getting price cuts, and the Wii staying the same price, they may consider the possibility that the Wii is better.

360 it's already cheaper than the wii.
